Here's some stuff written for The Tennessean regarding our Extravaganza appearance in 1997. Totally different lineup of ex-CBGB doorman Luther Beckett on jet engine guitar, Chuck Tate on bass, and Reggie Las Vegas on drums, cymbals, and Tommy Lee poses.

The night started behind schedule at Amie's where the cacophonic yet fun Tone Def White Boys started a little less than a half an hour late. Frontman Alex Sniderman, looking a little like Joey Ramone's long-lost (and much younger) twin, raced through a set of solid, straightforward rock ditties, thanking producer Brad Jones, who was in the audience, for his bass help on TDWB's upcoming debut.
"Somebody buy him a beer," Sniderman added. "He's a cheap date."
Best Band Name
There's just so many, it's almost impossible to choose. You've got your perennial favorites (and looking for a deal again) Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, local stalwarts Badabing Badaboom, Shinola and Vagantis, and regional faves Slobberbone, comma 8 comma 1, and Joe Marc's Brother. But we think we're going to give the nod to the recently returned-from-New York Alex Sniderman's Tone Def White Boys, who play a 7:45p.m. show at Amie's Friday.
