| The night started behind schedule at Amie's where the cacophonic yet fun Tone Def White Boys started a little less than a half an hour late. Frontman Alex Sniderman, looking a little like Joey Ramone's long-lost (and much younger) twin, raced through a set of solid, straightforward rock ditties, thanking producer Brad Jones, who was in the audience, for his bass help on TDWB's upcoming debut. "Somebody buy him a beer," Sniderman added. "He's a cheap date." |

Best Band Name
There's just so many, it's almost impossible to choose. You've got your perennial favorites (and looking for a deal again) Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, local stalwarts Badabing Badaboom, Shinola and Vagantis, and regional faves Slobberbone, comma 8 comma 1, and Joe Marc's Brother. But we think we're going to give the nod to the recently returned-from-New York Alex Sniderman's Tone Def White Boys, who play a 7:45p.m. show at Amie's Friday. |
